Congrat Ben and Beth for winning our scavenger hunt tonight!! we had a wonderful turn out and we met some really great people:) Missy and ash gave them a run for their money:) Get ready guys, we are gonna have a awesome time at the Axe Murder House!!!!!!!!!

CVGH Scavenger Hunt write up

WATERLOO --- The winners of a scavenger hunt Saturday will earn a trip to what's believed to be one of America's most haunted locations.

Partner teams will travel around the Waterloo-Cedar Falls area to retrieve 20 items from a prepared list. The first pair to return will receive transportation, food and drink during an overnight visit Nov. 26 to the Ax Murder House in Villisca with the Cedar Valley Ghost Hunters. Participants must be 21 or older.
The cost is $5 per couple. Check in begins at 6 p.m. in the parking lot of Spicoli's Grill, 3555 University Ave. The hunt runs from 7 to 10 p.m.
The Waterloo-based Cedar Valley Ghost Hunters collects video and audio evidence of paranormal activity at private residences, businesses and other venues.
Members have previously visited the southwest Iowa site, where Josiah Moore and his wife, Sarah, and their four children and two neighbor girls were bludgeoned to death with an ax June 10, 1912. The case remains unsolved. The house has been featured in books and documentaries about hauntings.
The group's tech manager, Steve Merry, and his wife and co-founder, Michelle, have been there overnight three times, twice by themselves and once with fellow members of the Cedar Valley Ghost Hunters.

Meet @ 6pm in Spicoli's parking lot. Hunt starts at 7pm and runs until 10pm.
The first group of 2, to return to Spicoli's, no later than 10pm, with the list completed WINS!
The winners get to investigate overnight with the CVGH team @ The Villisca Axe Murder House.  All expenses paid.

We recently heard of the passing of a wonderful man Darwin Linn.  He was a exciting man with a lot of wonderful stories, i was lucky enough to get to meet Darwin two different times and was able to sit and listen to his exciting stories.  He was an amazing story teller and kept our full attention with every word that he spoke.  You will be greatly missed my friend

CVGH Scavenger Hunt

We will be having a scavenger hunt on July 23rd. 2011.  Meeting place: Spicoli's parking lot 6:00 pm check in time and 7:00 the hunt starts till 10pm.  It cost $5.00 per couple and the first couple back with all items on list will win a trip all expenses paid to Vallisca Ia to do an overnight investigation at the Vallisca Ax Murder house.
